Episode 1: Implementing Collaborative Problem Solving in the Montessori Classroom with Margaret Jarrell

Show Notes

Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), developed by Ross Greene, is an evidence-based model that helps educators and caregivers focus on identifying the problems that are causing concerning behaviors in children and solving those problems collaboratively and proactively. The model is a departure from traditional approaches emphasizing the use of rewards and consequences to modify concerning behaviors. The CPS model aligns beautifully with Montessori principles and offers powerful insights into how to view and respond to concerning behaviors in your classroom.
